Reload The Current Page.

I was asked to create a series of specialist 3d models that were to be manufactured for an art exhibition called ‘Reload The Current Page’ for Michael Anastassiades Studio.
The first sculpture was a smooth representation of the Pentadaktylos mountains in Cyprus that was to be manufactured out of marble.
It was created using the cross section and surface modifier in 3ds Max.
A preliminary smaller scale cast bronze version was also made before the final sculpture was commissioned.

The second sculpture required a different aproach to create, in the end I used a 32bit height map to displace the geometry. I used a program called World Machine to create the effect of erosion on the map.
The final sculpture was manufactured from sandstone.

The last sculpture, manufactured from sandstone, used a similar height map technique as the previous one but this time was completely smooth.
